Dana L. Reynolds, Esq., Managing Attorney

Attorney Dana L. Reynolds grew up in Wilmington, Delaware, and has been a licensed Delaware attorney for almost 20 years.  She has advised and/or represented thousands of clients in family law and criminal defense matters since opening her office in 2010.  Dana has a reputation for being empathetic, highly service-oriented, and passionate about helping individuals and families navigate difficult situations and, to the extent possible, avoid adversarial proceedings. 

Dana is a certified divorce and custody mediator in Delaware.  She provides effective, experienced, and compassionate mediation services.  Dana is passionate about helping families achieve an amicable resolution without Court intervention and expensive litigation when the family unit breaks down. 

Dana is also one of the few attorneys in Delaware with expertise in legal parentage for children born as a result of assisted reproductive technology (ART).   She routinely helps intended parents meet their goals of becoming parents through assisted reproductive technology (ART) and obtain valid parentage orders under Delaware law.  Dana also devotes significant time to advocacy and legislative initiatives in the context of ART and protecting the LGTBQ+ community.

Dana further focuses her legal practice on drafting and reviewing prenuptial, post-nuptial, and separation agreements and Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROS) and advising clients regarding Delaware marriage, divorce, child support and custody law. 

Dana was selected seven years in a row as a "Super Lawyer" for Family Law (2020 - 2026), received the Super Lawyers "Rising Star" award three years in a row for Family Law in 2014-2016, and was selected as one of Delaware Today magazine's 2021 - 2025 Top Lawyers in the area of Family Law.  Dana was also the Chair of the Family Law Section of the Delaware State Bar Association for the 2022-2023 term and the Vice Chair of this Section for the 2021-2022 term.

Dana graduated from Concord High School in the Brandywine School District.  She later earned a B.S. degree from Cornell University and a J.D. degree from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, DE.   She is a former law clerk to Chief Judge Chandlee Johnson Kuhn of the Family Court of Delaware and Senior Judge Jane R. Roth of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.  

Dana is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Delaware and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.  She is active in several professional organizations, including the Family Law and LGBTQ+ Sections of the Delaware State Bar Association, the American Bar Association Family Law Section, including the Assisted Reproductive Technology Law subsection, and the Melson-Arsht Inn of Court.

Attorney Tyler J. Waad, Esq. earned in Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Delaware Law School – Widener University where he graduated with honors, and is admitted to the Bar of the Delaware Supreme Court for the State of Delaware. Prior to earning his J.D., Mr. Waad studied at the University of Delaware in the Alfred Lerner School of Business and earned his two Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Economics. 

Mr. Waad is currently an active member of the Melson Arsht Inn of Court, the American Bar Association, and the Family Law Section and Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Delaware State Bar Association. He is also a certified Superior Court Mediator and Family Court Mediator for the State of Delaware.  Mr. Waad was the Chair of the Family Law Section of the Delaware State Bar Association for the 2023-2024 membership year.

While in law school, Mr. Waad was a member of the Moot Court Honors Society, the Vice President of Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Honors Society, the Vice President of the American Association for Justice, and a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society. Mr. Waad is a lifelong Delaware resident and is proud to give back to his community: in his free time, Mr. Waad volunteers as a coach for the University of Delaware Mock Trial Team, and also volunteers his services to assist victims of domestic abuse through the Domestic Violence Advocacy Program.

Mr. Waad has been working for the firm since 2014 and focuses his practice exclusively on family law. He offers his services for both contested matters as well as mediation. Mr. Waad prides himself on providing his clients with excellent service, insightful advice, passionate advocacy, and creative solutions to some of life’s toughest legal situations.
